The Sacramento County Fair is coming back to the Cal Expo fairgrounds Memorial Day weekend, May 22-26. More than 100,000 guests will enjoy fair food, watch 4-H and FFA students show their animals, peruse the buildings for competitive exhibits and join in the fun of fair attractions. Ten thousand school children will be part of the free educational school tours on Thursday and Friday.

Tickets are now available online at or at the Sacramento County Fair office. Admission is $5. Children 12 and under are admitted free every day.

Consumers can save up to 40 percent by purchasing tickets in advance to the Demolition Derby, Stars and Stripes Invitational Bull Riding and the Freestyle Motocross Thrill Show. A discounted price on carnival wristbands is also available online.

“We are doing everything we can to make sure the fair is an affordable and enjoyable experience for the community,” said Pamela Fyock, Sacramento County Fair CEO.

This year’s theme is “Let’s Eat, Have Fun and Celebrate the Red, White and Blue.”
