The holiday tradition continues as California State University, Sacramento choirs, led by Donald Kendrick, present the popular “Procession of Carols” on Saturday, Dec. 1 and Sunday, Dec. 2 at Sacred Heart Church, 39th and J streets in Sacramento. Performances are at 8 p.m. on Saturday and 2 and 7 p.m. on Sunday.
Candlelit processions, narrations and organ, as well as beautiful music from the university’s choral program make this a festive occasion every December.
This year’s program includes the Austrian carol “Still, Still, Still” and fresh new settings of “Jingle Bells” and “The Snow Lay on the Ground.” The audience will be invited to share in some of the music to brighten holiday spirits.
Tickets are $15 general, $10 for seniors and $5 for students. They are available at the Sacramento State ticket office by calling 916-278-4323 or visiting the Website at csus.edu/music/choral.
