The Sacramento Valley Chorus, a chapter of Sweet Adelines International, is presenting three shows in October in the Sacramento region.

One show is Saturday, Oct. 13, at 7 p.m. at the Cameron Park Community Center, 2502 Country Club Drive in Cameron Park.

The group is sharing the stage with the men’s barbershop chorus from Placerville called the Gold Rush Chorus.

This chorus is approximately 25 men, all members of Barbershop Harmony Inc.

The program may also include two high school groups.

Tickets are $15 for general admission, with children 6 and under free.

For tickets call 916-420-1662 or visit svcandgoldrush.eventbrite.com.

Beer, wine and desserts will be on sale, plus there will be ample opportunity to purchase tickets for great prizes.

Two shows will take place on Saturday, Oct. 20 at the Orangevale Community Center, 6826 Hazel Ave. in Orangevale. Both shows will feature the Sacramento Valley Chorus and some of the region’s top quartets.

Song selections will include the oldies, some recent favorites and some future tunes. Expect high energy, terrific choreography and quality singing. This is not a concert – it is a show.

The 2 p.m. matinée is cabaret style with coffee and homemade desserts as part of the $25 ticket. Children 7-16 are $15 and children 6 and under are free.

The 6:30 p.m, evening show offers a complete spaghetti dinner served at 6:30. There will be a no host bar, prizes and dessert dash after dinner.

This show begins at 7:30 p.m. and will also be cabaret style. Adult tickets are $35, children 7-16 are $15, and children 6 and under are free.

Tickets can be purchased by visiting sacvalleychorus.eventbrite.com or calling 916-420-1662.

The Sacramento Valley Chorus is 84 enthusiastic singers who are preparing for a performance of a lifetime at Carnegie Hall, New York City, on May 25, 2013.
