By From page B14 | January 31, 2014

Silver Screen Classic Movie Series continues on Saturday, Feb. 1, with a screwball comedy from 1937.

Basil and Joyce, two talented and hammy stage actors, love each other in spite of their epic battles. When Marcia, an infatuated, besotted fan, falls for Basil, he knows he must somehow discourage this interloper. But the ruder he gets, the more attractive Marcia finds him. And the angrier Joyce gets.

The free movie is shown at 1, 4 and 7:30 p.m. in the Beecher Room of the Auburn Library, 350 Nevada St. in Auburn.
