The award honors women who — through their professional or personal activities — make extraordinary efforts on behalf of women and girls. Women can nominate themselves or another woman in the community.
Applications are available by contacting Barbara Smiley at 916-813-6281 or by e-mailing firstname.lastname@example.org. Applications must be returned to Soroptimist International of Placerville by Dec. 15.
Nominees should be women who have made extraordinary differences on behalf of women and girls.
The Placerville Soroptimist club will provide the recipient with a $1,000 cash grant, to be donated to recipient’s charity of choice.
Soroptimist International of Placerville is part of Soroptimist International of the Americas. Headquartered in Philadelphia, Pa., Soroptimist is a cause-related philanthropic federation of clubs improving the lives of women and girls through social and economic empowerment.
