All are welcome — even if they belong to another congregation or don’t go to church at all. The fun outdoor venue will be held on Faith’s grassy grounds and will showcase opportunities for giving back to the community locally and abroad, while helping to raise money for worthwhile endeavors.
This year’s major fundraiser is a raffle for a one week stay next year at the beautiful Pueblo Bonito Beach Resort and Spa in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. The luxury one bedroom condo is approximately 1,300 square feet and sleeps two to six people. Raffle tickets are $20 and the drawing will be held at the festival at 2 p.m.
People are encouraged to bring canned food donations to support the El Dorado County Food Bank and SHARE Food Closet, which will be on the church grounds located at 2200 Country Club Drive in Cameron Park.
Fuzion Eatz will serve up multi-cultural culinary delights for lunch on the church green.
There will be live music, a bounce house, a rock climbing wall, demonstrations by the El Dorado County Sheriff’s Department K-9 unit and games for children including old-fashioned favorites. Be ready to participate in a cake walk, saddle up to a cupcake bar, savor an old-fashioned root beer float or have your face painted by aspiring artists.
“Spring is a wonderful time for outdoor celebration,” said Faith Church Rector Father Sean Cox. “At Faith Church we like to mark the arrival of spring by showing service to the community through caring for neighbors and having fun.”
