Save a life by donating blood and receive a free California State Fair general admission ticket.
On Friday, July 6 from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m, BloodSource and the California State Fair will celebrate Blood Donor Day at Cal Expo. Participants will receive a free California State Fair general admission ticket.
Poppy, the California State Fair mascot, and Drippy, the BloodSource mascot, will cheer on donors. In addition, there will be free match marrow registry. While 10,000 patients search for a match outside their family, only 30 percent are successful. Cal Expo and BloodSource hope to raise that percentage through this effort.
There will be free parking for participants. Enter the East Gate at Exposition Boulevard/Challenge Way.
Other Blood Donor Day locations on July 6 are BloodSource Donor Centers, Roseville Sports Center, and Barbara Wackford Aquatic Center. Blood Donor Day is sponsored by the California State Fair, BloodSource and News10.
