This is the third year that Judie Stewart, owner of Placerville Flowers On Main, has offered this opportunity to the young artists at El Dorado High School.
The students from Art 1 and 2 classes will be displaying a variety of two-dimensional work: graphite drawings, portraits, perspective drawings, paintings in tempera, acrylic and watercolor.
The beginning three-D design will be exhibiting various three-D works including plaster, clay, paper mache and hand-dyed accordion books.
The advanced three-D design classes will display a variety of media. The students have been working on mosaics, glass projects, wax paintings, batiks, sandblasted design and ceramic projects.
Students Maddie Bergeson and Augustine Adams are working on a whimsical wood burning finish of a pine dresser. The dresser and selected other art will be available for purchase.
Stop by Flowers On Main, 318 Main St. in Placerville between 6 – 8 p.m. to view the art.
