EL DORADO HILLS — Congressman Tom McClintock is hosting the 2013 Congressional Art Competition in California’s 4th District. High school students from throughout the district have submitted more than 40 pieces of art for judging.

The art will be on display at BI Design Studio, 1004 White Rock Road in the Montano Business Center in El Dorado Hills, through Wednesday, May 1.

Submissions will be scored by a panel of judges from across the 4th District. The winner and competition participants will be honored by Rep. McClintock at a reception on Wednesday, May 1.

The 2013 Congressional Art Competition is a nation-wide high school art competition sponsored by the Congressional Institute. Members of the U.S. House of Representatives conduct the competition within their respective districts for all high school students.

The winning entry from each Congressional District across the United States will be displayed for one year in the Cannon Tunnel of the U.S. Capitol. The winning students will be invited, along with one guest, to the unveiling of the exhibit and a reception in Washington, D.C. in June, and will be provided with two round-trip airline tickets for the occasion.
