Tea with the governors’ wives

The Placerville Shakespeare Club is presenting the California State Historic Governors’ Mansion docents, in character and dressed in period costume, in a “Mansion Memories Program” on Sunday, Oct. 28.

The special event will consist of vignettes introducing 15 families that resided in the mansion from 1877 to 1967.

Enjoy a wonderful, educational visit through 90 years of California history that will come to life during the presentation.

There will be a light tea, door prizes and a silent auction.

The doors open at noon, with the tea and program beginning at 1 p.m.

The Placerville Shakespeare Clubhouse is at 2940 Bedford Ave. in Placerville.

Tickets are $20.
