Theravadan nuns to visit Placerville

By From page B10 | December 02, 2013

Placerville Friends of Tibet is happy to announce that a group of nuns in the Theravadan “Forest Monastery” tradition of Ajahn Chah will be visiting Placerville on Friday, Dec. 13 and Saturday, Dec. 14 to share teachings and to continue their search for a new home for their monastery in the foothills of El Dorado County or environs.

The talks, in English, are a wonderful opportunity to share another form of Buddhist teachings and to enjoy the company of these wonderful nuns.

Placerville Friends of Tibet is very happy to share that the Tibetan monks of Gaden Shartse Monastery in India are returning to the Cozmic Café in Placerville for their much-anticipated yearly visit, bringing their wisdom, culture, art and joy from Jan. 2 through 16.
