Things are happening at the Cameron Park CSD

The Cameron Park Community Services District is presenting several opportunities for the community to enjoy the Cameron Park Community Center, 2502 Country Club Drive in Cameron Park.

The Annual Reds, Whites and Jewels Show is Saturday, Feb. 2. This free entrance event includes a wine tasting and jewelry show right before Valentine’s Day.

The show is from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Beverage sales will benefit the El Dorado Dog Owners Guild and its efforts to complete the dog park at Hacienda Park.

On Sunday, Feb. 3 the Shingle Springs/Cameron Park Chamber of Commerce and Cameron Park CSD are putting on a big game afternoon at the Cameron Park Community Center.

There will be football, side bets, table games such as bunco, Mexican train, five card poker, more games, shopping, food and a full bar available. There is no entrance fee. Doors open at 2:30 p.m. for this free event.

Coffee, Tea and Friends is Tuesday, Feb. 12 at the community center.

The Cameron Park CSD and Visiting Angels are holding this monthly senior and caregivers get together.

This month’s presentation will be “Stay Out of the Nursing Home!” Marian Lowe from Cameron Park Physical Therapy will speak about easy exercises that people can do at home to help maintain strength and balance.

The free presentation is from 10 to 11:30 a.m.
