Things are happening in Pollock Pines

The Community Economic Development Association of Pollock Pines, along with many other organizations, is sponsoring a community Safe and Scary Spooktacular at Emigrant Trail School, 2701 Amber Trail in Pollock Pines, on Wednesday, Oct. 31 from 5:30 to 7 :30 p.m.

The association is also organizing four other events happening throughout the Pollock Pines community on Oct. 31. For more information call Jeanne at 530-613-1332.

October also brings the annual Best Customer Service in Pollock Pines – 2012  nominations.

Every business in Pollock Pines has received ballots and is engaging in collecting as many different signatures as they can to become the award-winning Best Customer Service business by having the Best Customer Service employee.

The invitation to vote is open to all, by e-mailing jmharper2@comcast.net; by mailing the ballot to PO Box 424, Pollock Pines, 95726; or by stopping by the business and filling out the ballot/nomination form.

Forms may be printed from cedapp.biz.

The Best Customer Service Award will be announced at the annual Stars Come Out Community Awards Night at Apple Mountain Golf Resort on Thursday, Nov. 8 at 5 p.m.

Last year, the gala event hosted 156 community leaders who work behind the scenes to make specials things happen in Pollock Pines.

While an evening of deserved recognition and celebration, the event will also raise money for the local Community Emergency Response Team, and collect warm clothing and blankets for the needy and homeless.

Reservations must be made in advance. Tickets may be purchased on-line by PayPal or by sending a check for $15 per person to CEDAPP, PO Box 424, Pollock Pines, 95726.

For more information call Jeanne at 530-613-1332.
