The Olde Coloma Theater, 380 Monument Road, presents ”Roman Romanni’s Extraordinary Exhibits” or “Don’t Judge A Crook By His Cover” on weekends Friday, June 29 through July 29.
This show was written by the talented Lauren Williams and is a second installment for Roman Romanni.
Roman Romanni, owner of a travelling side show, despairs that his business might go under now that many of the “human exhibits” and “attractions” that make up the show have left and moved on.
Elegant Elena, the beautiful bearded lady, mourns the loss of a recently departed beau.
Profits are dwindling and morale is low.
Madame Nadira, the exotic gypsy fortune teller, predicts that someone is coming, someone bearing change.
Romanni holds open auditions for new freak show acts, which bring more than just one someone along with hilarity, confusion, romance and a little dismay.
Alliances are made, schemes are schemed, and a villain is revealed with a diabolical motive sure to be more shocking, profound, and petty than anybody can imagine.
Can this motley crew of lovable prodigies, misfits, and freaks overcome a real monster?
On Friday and Saturday the doors open at 7:30 p.m. and the show starts at 8 p.m. for the evening dates and the Sunday matinées open at 1:30 p.m. start at 2 p.m. There is no Sunday, July 1 matinée.
Tickets are $10 for adults, $9 for seniors 55 plus and $5 for children under 12.
For reservations or information call 530-626-5282 or e-mail at info@oldecolomatheatre.com.
