The Placerville Downtown Association is presenting Banners on Parade on Main Street in Placerville through Oct. 20. This event will feature painted banners on the light post on Main Street. A walking tour map of these artful pieces will be available at several Main Street locations. At the end of the show, the banners will be auctioned on Oct. 20 at the Art and Wine Festival. Gold Country Artists Gallery, 379 Main St. in Placerville, through Aug. 5, is featuring photographer Mike Ryan. His colorful photographs have won many awards in California regional and local shows. The gallery is also featuring the delightful pottery of Leslie Chambers. The gallery is open daily from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. with extended hours until 9 p.m. for Third Saturday Art Walk on July 21 when the gallery is celebrating its 20th anniversary. There will be demonstrations during the day, live music by Coon Hollow beginning at 4 p.m. and a tribute to the founders in the evening. Rugiada Winery will be pouring wine in the evening.
