gold 606Gold Country Artists Gallery, 379 Main St. in Placerville, through July 6, is featuring popular photographer, Mike Ryan. His unique photography captures images and ideas in original and creative statements. Also featured this month are jeweler Annette Shachner who creates designs with silver clay and abstract painter Isabella Jeanette Ryder who works with acrylic, oils and ink tense watercolor pens and woven forms. The cooperative gallery of 50 local professional artists is open daily from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. with extended hours until 9 p.m. for Third Saturday Art Walk on June 21 and until 8:30 p.m. Friday evenings through the summer. The California National Pony Express National Trails Day organization is having an e-waste collection on Saturday, June 7 from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. at Double Diamond, 692 Pleasant Valley Road in Diamond Springs. Proceeds will help raise money for the reconstruction of the Brockliss Bridge. For more information call 530-622-5205.

Thunder in the Park Classic Car and Motorcycle Show is at Cameron Park Lake, 2989 Cambridge Road in Cameron Park, on Saturday, June 7 from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. The show is free for spectators to check out the vendor booths, cars and motorcycles. Clarksville Regional Historical Society is having a fundraiser for the Restoration of the Clarksville Cemetery on Saturday, June 7 from noon-4 p.m. at 4540 Post St., Suite 230, in El Dorado Hills. The family friendly event is sponsored by Vindler Real Estate and Acquisitions. There will be a guided tour of the cemetery via free shuttle, music, prizes and food and drinks for sale. The El Dorado Community Hall, 6139 Pleasant Valley Road, is having a Taco Feed Fundraiser on Saturday, Jan. 7 starting at 4:30 p.m. There will be drive-through tacos from 5-7 p.m. Tacos are a minimum donation of $2 a piece. This event is a fundraiser to help maintain the hall.
