Gold Country Artists Gallery, 379 Main St. in Placerville, Nov. 5 through Dec. 2, is featuring the outstanding photography of Soroush Mostafanejad. Soroush seeks out unusual subjects and exciting color and then with his professional photographic techniques and modern computer technology enhances and prints his own work on canvas. In addition, the gallery is featuring the unique and original pottery of Lisa Bone. Bone creates exquisite raku and other saggar fired pottery and uses intricate carving and glazing techniques. The gallery of professional artists is open daily from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. with extended hours until 9 p.m. for Third Saturday Art Walk on Nov. 17. The Empty Bowls Supper Fundraiser is Saturday, Nov. 3 from 4:30 to 8 p.m. at St. Patrick Church, Frisk St. in Placerville. Enjoy bread and beverage and a hearty homemade soup served in a handmade ceramic bowl donated by local potters and school students. Keep the ceramic bowl as long as supplies last.
