The 2013 Rubstock BBQ Championship is at Christa McAuliffe Park, 2400 Merrychase Drive in Cameron Park, on Friday and Saturday, Sept. 13 and 14. There will be barbecuing, entertainment, demonstrations, a children’s area and more from 4 to 10 p.m. on Friday and on Saturday the action starts at 10 a.m. Cost is $5. (MORE) is hosting its 12th annual Chili Cook Off and Classic Car show on Saturday, Sept. 14 at The Pollock Pines-Camino Community Center, 2675 Sanders Drive in Pollock Pines. There will be chili, a classic car show, vendors, food and prizes. Admission is a suggested donation of $5 per person.
