El Dorado Hills’ best, and tastiest, party of the year is just around the corner.

On Saturday, March 9 the Rotary Club of El Dorado Hills hosts its annual crab feed and dance, featuring all-you-can-eat crab, a no host bar, a silent auction, prizes and dance beats mixed by DJ Anthony Avery. El Dorado Dance Academy performers and the Marina Jazz Band will also entertain.

“DJ Anthony Avery helped us throw a great dance party last year with line dancing, disco, rock ‘n’ roll and the Oak Ridge Interact Club got out there and showed us some new moves,” said Rotarian Jeff England, crab feed chairman. “We expect a full, fun dance floor again.”

Money raised at this popular event goes toward local youth programs, as well as local and international projects and programs.

The Rotary Club of El Dorado Hills sponsors high school students who want to study abroad, awards scholarships, recognizes outstanding local students with its Student of the Month program, supports the Oak Ridge High School Interact Club, assists with community projects (Jeff Mitchell Field, Veterans Memorial Park), participates in community events like clean-up days and the Fireworks Jubilee, donates to international projects/programs and much more.

“Although Rotary is an international organization with a deep commitment to improving communities and the lives of individuals throughout the world, local clubs also have an intense interest in addressing local concerns,” said club President Wayne Lowery. “The El Dorado Hills Rotary is proud of its support of many local community service organizations, schools, parks and area youth.”
