Winefest 2012 happening in Sutter Creek

SUTTER CREEK — Winefest 2012 will be taking place Saturday, Nov. 10, starting at Sutter Creek’s shops and auditorium, starting at 18 Main St.

Winefest 2012 is the popular annual walk-about wine-tasting event in Sutter Creek, sponsored by AmadorArts.

The event will take place on Saturday, Nov. 10, from 4:30 to 8 p.m.

Plan to visit the Sutter Creek Auditorium first. Then drop in at Sutter Creek’s Main Street shops to taste 25 Amador wines and nibble appetizers.

At 7 p.m., return to the auditorium for the Winefest Grand Finale, which will present live music, desserts and dessert wines, a fabulous silent auction of wine, art, event packages and more. The new Mystery Wine Table is a must see according to organizers.

Sutter Creek Auditorium is located at 18 Main St. Doors open at 4 p.m. for guests to check in, pick up the Winefest Map, wristband and event wine glass.

Advance tickets are $25 or $30 the day of the event. By using a credit card through amadorarts.org the printed PayPal receipt can be your tickets. There also will be will call or ticket purchasing in the auditorium.

Tickets are available at: in Sutter Creek at the Sutter Creek Wine Tasting Shop; in Ione at Clark’s Corner; in Pine Grove at Up Country Hardware; in Jackson at the Amador Chamber of Commerce and in Plymouth at Dr. Curry’s dental office.

Support of the 15th annual Winefest provides much-needed funds for arts in education in local schools. AmadorArts is a non-profit organization serving the county for 30 years.
