American Kitchen Cabinets
While there are an endless number of cabinet finishes and paint colors, white remains the most popular paint choice. Rustic alder and rustic hickory are on the rise and we are seeing a slight decline with the use of cherry.
As for appliances, stainless steel and black are still the most popular colors. Countertops come in all different materials, colors and textures, but it is the neutral granite and quartz offerings that lead the way.
There is no doubt that spectacular kitchens are created using these staples of the industry everyday, but the pop of color, the interesting texture and the pieces that draw the eye are often left to things that are temporary — paint colors, decorative elements and lighting.
One of the major changes we have seen through the past few years is a mixing of our clients favorite modern design features and new technologies with a more traditional look. This new look is being referred to as the Transitional Kitchen design and it avoids excessive ornaments and eschews busy patterns and ornate door styles. By definition, a Transitional Kitchen design features an architectural style, characterized by an older traditional style, blended with the elements of a contemporary style, generally utilizing a crisp, clean interpretation of traditional design combined with current colors, textures, materials and appliances.
We work with you to provide a space that fits your needs, shows your personality, and increases your homes resale value. If you like the charm of subway tile and old-fashioned pendant lighting, but still want contemporary stainless steel appliances don’t worry, the American Kitchen Cabinet design team can suggest a seamless design that incorporates the old with the new. Even a sleek, sculpturally modern kitchen faucet has a place next to subway tile and stained wood cabinetry with the right design.
A creative design will allow you to seamlessly integrate your stylistic preferences without resorting to a pastiche of motifs, materials and design features. The beauty of a Transitional Kitchen is that it doesn’t fall prey to trends that can become outdated in a short period of time, all while providing you with the most cost-effective remodel.
Although styling is something that will continue to change and evolve, functionality should be the primary focus of your kitchen. American Kitchen Cabinets will work with you to solve your kitchens functional issues, while helping you choose the design features that are best suited for your home and your personal taste. Although a functional kitchen is a necessity, your new kitchen should feel like it belongs in your home.
Our expert kitchen designers will study your home, taking into consideration specific architectural details such as moldings, structural design, structural proportions, window and door details, to design a kitchen that maintains an appropriate balance between your homes existing character, your functional needs and personal taste.
We take great pride in providing you with the kitchen of your dreams, at a price that fits your budget.
