Reduce heat, glare, fading with window film

By Vicky Best
Best Solar Control Company

More and more glass is being used in today’s homes and offices for that open, airy feeling. These expanses of glass come at a price however. Wood floors, carpet, artwork, and furniture fade if not protected; glare can be so bright that one has to strain the eyes to see a TV or computer screen and certain rooms often become too hot to use.

Technology has met these challenges with professionally installed solar window films. The solar heat and glare rejected can range from 30 percent to 80 percent without a significant change in the amount of light into a room. Reduced energy costs in both summer and winter are an additional advantage substantial enough for PG&E and SMUD to offer rebates on commercial installations. Additionally, the film rejects 99 percent of the sun’s harmful UV rays, reduces fading and also enhances the view.

A professional solar control specialist can offer several non-reflective films that are scratch-resistant and carry a lifetime warranty.

Also available are exterior motorized shade screens and interior window coverings.
