“We are a full-service bike shop where we carry kids bikes and adult bikes and mountain bikes and road bikes and hybrids,” said Bob Molinari, owner.
For the Christmas shopper, he added, the store not only carries bikes but also carries accessories ranging from gloves, helmets, winter clothing, computers for bikes and indoor trainers just to name a few items.
The store, located at 1307 Broadway in Placerville, caters to not only the novice riders but the serious, as well.
“For the adults I have mountain bikes,” he said. “I also have cruisers. I have hybrids and there are even some new dual purpose bikes and I carry road bikes.”
He explained that a hybrid bike is an in between bike that is not quite a road bike.
“It would be something for bike trails, maybe a little bit of off-road stuff but not serious,” he said. “Mountain bikes are a more serious ride in the dirt bike.”
He added for kids bikes, there are also several types available.
“I have a little bit of everything for kids,” Molinari said. ‘I have cute little girls pink and blue bikes in all sizes. A little bit of everything. I have single speeds, gears, training wheel bikes.”
For teenagers, Molinari said he can put them on an adult-size bike with a small frame.
He also said the bike shop provides full-service repairs from tune-ups to replacing tires and tubes.
Customers can also rent bikes as well.
Store hours are Monday to Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
