A Helping Hand was created by Pete H. Messimore and opened its doors on March 28, 2008. A Helping Hand is located at 6092 Pony Express Trail in Pollock Pines right in the middle of the county to provide services from South Lake Tahoe to El Dorado Hills.

Messimore brings more than 22 years of experience with in-home care. He was a personal attendant for many years with other agencies and worked his way up the chain of command to CEO with another local company before deciding to start A Helping Hand Homecare LLC.

A Helping Hand supplies services to those of any age. With A Helping Hand there are no contracts to sign for services. A Helping Hand can come into your residents and assist with activities of daily living, so you can remain at home and independent as long as possible.

The business supplies services from a one-hour pop-in visits up to 24-hour care in the privacy of your own home.

A Helping Hand prides itself on being a part of the community in Pollock Pines and El Dorado County in general.

In 2009 A Helping Hand received the ED award from the Community Economic Development Association of Pollock Pines and in 2011 they received the small business award from the El Dorado County Chamber of Commerce.

A Helping Hand is community oriented. It is members of Friends of El Dorado County Seniors, CEDAPP, and the Salvation Army just to mention a few.

A Helping Hand also prides itself on being a referral based outlet for those looking for any additional services we do not supply. The business also makes sure you are aware of any county, state or government programs that you might qualify for.

If you or you know of someone in need of additional help in their home call A Helping Hand at 530-647-0266 for a free in-home assessment today.
