What makes your community a great place to live? It may be the ability to send your children to good schools, feeling safe and secure in your neighborhood or having restaurants and stores nearby. For many people, access to quality medical care is also at the top of this list. Fortunately, Mercy Medical Group, a trusted name in healthcare services, is conveniently located right in your community.

Mercy Medical Group, a service of Dignity Health Medical Foundation, now has 18 locations in the greater Sacramento Region which house more than 300 physicians and care providers. The newest location, an 8,000-square-foot state-of-the art facility in El Dorado Hills, opened Sept. 3. Located at 1264 Hawks Flight Court, this is the medical group’s second location in El Dorado Hills. The first location, at 4987 Golden Foothill Parkway, is less than a half-mile away.

Christopher Olson, MD, a family physician with Mercy Medical Group, serves as medical director for the new location. Dr. Olson has been treating patients in the Folsom location for seven years. Trained at prestigious Brown University and Cornell, Dr. Olson has been a recipient of Style Magazine’s Reader’s Choice Award for Top 3 favorite general practitioners in the El Dorado Hills/Folsom areas for the past three years.

“I am truly excited to bring a stellar team of doctors, nurses and staff to El Dorado Hills and the surrounding communities,” said Dr. Olson. “We intend to work hard to combine the excellence of Mercy Medical Group and Dignity Health with the compassionate, individualized care of a community physician’s office.”

The new El Dorado care center currently has three family medicine physicians and one nurse practitioner and expects to grow to eight care providers in the coming months. For the convenience of patients, this location is open two Saturdays a month and offers evening appointments at least two nights during the week. The center also offers X-ray services within its facility and lab services are available less than a half-mile away at the other El Dorado Hills location.

Mercy Medical Group has planned a fall festival and celebration to mark the opening of its newest care center. The event will be held Sept. 26 from 4:30 to 7 p.m. at the new El Dorado Hills location. Community members are invited to enjoy a complimentary BBQ, family friendly carnival games and a tour of the new facility. For more information about the event or to RSVP, call 916-851-2112.

“We know how important it is to expand our services in a community that is continuing to grow,” said Dr. Joe Jasser, president and CEO of Dignity Health Medical Foundation. “We also want to share our excitement with the people who will be receiving services from our care providers.”

To make an appointment at either of the El Dorado Hills locations, call 916-933-4222. For more information about Mercy Medical Group and the services offered, visit mymercymedgroup.org.
