If there was ever an opportunity to shop for a good cause, this is it. Snowline Hospice, which gives care to people nearing the end of their lives, operates six thrift stores, five of them in El Dorado County. Proceeds from thrift store sales go to help support the mission of Snowline Hospice, “Serving our community by supporting patients near end-of-life and guiding loved ones through grief.” Snowline’s thrift stores accept gently-used products as donations, then sells them back to consumers at discounted rates so everybody wins. Customers save money on great products; those in need of help in the hardest of times of their lives get services provided to them as a result of the sales. With locations in Camino, Placerville and Cameron Park, Snowline thrift stores are conveniently located throughout the county.
