“Come for the wine, spend the day.” Whether you’re planning a wedding or simply looking for some wine tasting, there’s a new winery on the scene in El Dorado County, and it has a lot to offer visitors. Cielo Estate is nestled on 41 acres on the Western Slope of the Sierra Nevada, and used to be home to the Hodgkin and Spinardi families dating back to the late 1800s “where the Victorian house still stands flawlessly restored and serves as a guest house and venue for small private functions,” according to the winery’s Website. Weddings are already a popular event at the winery, as Cielo specializes in all of the setup, from catering and even making the wedding cake, to referring photographers and disc jockeys for the event. Cielo Estate is open Monday through Thursday, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., Friday through Saturday, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Sunday, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
