EnergyWise Solutions Inc. announces the formal opening of its offices in Sacramento and El Dorado Hills.

Formed by a trio of professionals from El Dorado Hills — Dave Sipes (GC), Allan Priest (REM) and Robert Wellman (MBA) — EnergyWise Solutions is a residential energy assessment and retrofit firm.

“We know energy costs will continue to rise over the next decade and that homeowners often need help identifying cost savings in their home,” said Sipes, the company’s president. “Additionally, improvements made to save costs invariably result in overall improvement in comfort and safety within the home. We started EnergyWise Solutions, Inc. to help homeowners from a whole home approach — meaning, we look at all aspects of the home; the windows, the air sealing, the insulation, the appliances, heating and air, etc. We don’t just come in and sell a new heating or air conditioning unit or a new solar system.”

“All homeowners should do an energy audit before they consider spending any money on an air-conditioning, heating, or solar system,” added Allan, the firm’s registered environmental manager. “You will spend minimal dollars making basic energy improvements that may save you thousands in savings on additional solar panels or an upgraded a/c or heating system.”

EnergyWise Solutions Inc. process includes a four phased approach to saving clients money:

• Performing an energy audit

• Providing a HomeWealth report that defines the opportunities in priority return on investment order

• Making the HomeWealth improvements

• Enjoy the savings and comfort.

The company is registered as both a SMUD and PG&E approved contractor and is registered with the Building Performance Institute.

Certified by the Building Performance Institute (BPI) and with a licensed general contractor, registered environmental manager, and an MBA executive team, EnergyWise Solutions predicts it will perform hundreds of assessments over the next six to 12 months.
