Top Achiever: Amber Angelina Pacheco

By From page TOP18 | March 08, 2013

Amber Angelina Pacheco, Ponderosa High School

College: Texas Christian University, studying to become a nurse.

Career goal: I want to eventually become a nurse practitioner because I love people and medicine and feel that it is a great way to help influence not only patients’ lives in a positive way, but also the lives of their friends and family. I want to be able to give back in any way that I can.

Community involvement: I do volunteer work at various locations in my community and I participate in soccer, horseback riding and mountain biking to be able to get involved in my community and the people who live here. I also work at a restaurant so I see a variety of people who I can form connections with.

Where I see myself in 10 years: Working at a major hospital, hopefully somewhere in Southern California. I also want to travel to Africa to help bring medical care to those who don’t have access to such necessities.
