College: California State University, Sacramento, studying Jazz with plans to transfer to the prestigious Berklee College of Music in Boston to study contemporary writing and production.
Career goal: To be the best possible musician (guitarist, composer, arranger) that I can possibly be by spending all my time with music. I don’t waste any time, and I have clear visions of any goals I want to achieve. More specifically, I plan on becoming a composer of contemporary music, combining rock ‘n’ roll, jazz, fusion and chamber music similar to my idol and favorite composer, Frank Zappa. I also plan on changing several aspects of the music industry and the music standards that have been placed the past 300-plus years.
Community involvement: The last two years I have been involved in several community service projects and runs. They were all a great success and I was really glad to be part of them and to see so many people show up to support the cause.
Where I see myself in 10 years: I see myself conducting/leading a very unique group of musicians who play music written by myself. I will be a great guitarist and a better musician by then, and I will have loads of experience in the music industry under my belt. Hopefully, I will have released two-plus albums/CDs by then. To be honest, though, I don’t like looking that far ahead. I take my life one project at a time, usually each spanning a few months, and that seems to have been very productive! In 10 years I hope to keep the same healthy and happy attitude on life and music as I have right now!
