College/major: Azusa Pacific University; major undeclared at this point.
Career goal: Either a pediatric nurse or a teacher
10-years into the future: I see myself working with kids somehow and probably incorporating animals into that work. Steady job, steady income … probably in the city but who knows.
Community service: Samantha is a past volunteer at the Eskaton senior facility in Cameron Park, helping with activities. She also traveled to Mexico four times over four years to help build homes with the Discovery Hills Evangelical Free Church youth group. In the future, she said, “I really want to influence the children, whether it be taking care of then through nursing or teaching them. I want to help them be prepared for the future.” She also plans to take volunteer opportunities as they arise, possibly at a local soup kitchen or food bank.
