All Star Cheer wins titles

ANAHEIM — Two All Star Elite cheer teams won national championships at the recent American Showcase All Star National Championships at the Anaheim Convention Center.

From the 500 teams in divisions based on age, gender, skill level and team size, All Star Elite’s Youth Level 2 team and Senior Level 2 took first place for their respective divisions.

The Youth team consisted of 12 young ladies age 11 and younger and scored a 96.5 for their routine while also being awarded the Judges Award for overall best team in all the required elements.

The Senior team had 16 athletes aged 12-16 and scored a 95.73.

Both teams earned banners, medals and championship jackets.

Competing its 14th season, All Star Elite offers competitive programs for children aged 5-18 in El Dorado County. Teams are now forming for the 1014-15 season.
