By From page A9 | January 11, 2013

The prep alpine racing season gets underway with Monday’s Giant Slalom at Sierra-at-Tahoe, the first of six scheduled at the Highway 50 resort.

On tap will be two more GS races and three Slalom races. Coverage of the ski/snowboard action can be seen weekly in the Mountain Democrat.

Skiers will alternate between Lower Main and Clipper while snowboarders are on either Lower Powderhorn or Lower Main. The CNISSF State Championships are the first week in March at Mt. Shasta.
