AquaSol swim trio did travel

Three area AquaSol swimmers, coached by Steve Skidmore, spent spring break attending the Sierra Nevada Swimming’s (SNS) Altitude Training Camp at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colo.

Mikaela Fuller, 17, Haley Owens, 15, and Kaela Marcus, 14, participated in workouts at 6,350 feet elevation which included swimming over 14,000 meters a day. Highlights of the trip were the chance to see Olympians and Para-Olympians preparing for the 2012 Olympic Games in London and a visit with Chad LaTourette, the current American record holder in the 1,650 yard freestyle.
