The Mother Lode club combines players from Folsom-area high schools on up the hill.
On Saturday, the Mother Lode JV team hosts a playoff match against Peninsula Green from the Bay Area. Game time is 4 p.m. The Mother Lode JV has a record of 14-1 and is ranked No. 2 in the Sac Valley Conference by the Northern California Youth Rugby Association.
Should Mother Lode JV win Saturday, the team advances to the championship at Cherry Island.
