Camino resident Evan Bennett, selected to play defensive tackle at the Eastbay Youth All-American Bowl Game, was given his official jersey in front of family, friends, classmates and teammates at Ponderosa High last Friday during a pregame presentation begore the Bruin-Oak Ridge varisty game.

Playing on the Junior Bruins football team, Bennett is one of many youth athletes in the United States nominated to play in this elite game but one of the few selected by the Eastbay Youth All-American Bowl selection committee.
The game features the nation’s top seventh, eighth and ninth graders against one another in the debut of the bowl game. The Eastbay Youth All-American Bowl pits the USA East vs. USA West on January 4 of next year in San Antonio, Texas.
