SACRAMENTO — Saturday the El Dorado Hills Blue Devils won the District Cup Soccer Championship in their division, defeating the Under 14 Folsom Soccer Club boys team 2-1 at Bryte Park in Sacramento.

Luke Johnson and Cameron Madsen scored the Devils’ goals. The team played five games in the playoffs and outscored opponents 19-3.
The Blue Devils now have the distinct honor of winning back-to-back championships.
The team includes JJ Musilli, Austin Streetman, Kevin Belcher, Mitch Hauser, Connor Gann, Trevor Engle, Sam Miller, Cole Rickard, Jack Davidson, Josh Mousis, Reese Benson, Max Dillard, Sean Fletcher, Matthew Fehr, Madsen and Johnson. The head coach is Eric Davidson, assisted by Dan Streetman and Martin Roberts.
District VI of the California Youth Soccer Association had more than 500 select teams competing for the District Cup in their age division. District VI includes the greater Sacramento area north to Redding and east to South Lake Tahoe.
