By From page A10 | April 19, 2013

FOLSOM — The 47th annual Camellia Cup Regatta occurs tomorrow and Sunday with racing from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Folsom Lake State Recreation Area, Brown’s Ravine.

Over 40 sailboats are expected to race in one of the region’s largest sailboat races of the year. With America’s Cup occurring on San Francisco Bay this summer, this weekend offers locals the opportunity to see sailboat racing up close.

Boat classes expected to participate vary in length from 13 to 25 feet, including: Banshees, Lido 14s, Thistles, Day Sailers, International 21s, Santana 20s, Catalina 22s, Capri 22s and 25s, Cal 22s and 250s, Wavelength 24s, and various types of multihull boats.
