From page A9 | March 20, 2013 |

Students planning to participate in the athletic programs at El Dorado, Ponderosa or Union Mine high schools for the 21013-14 school year are required to have a current and complete Sports Participation Health Record and updated immunizations, including tetanus and Hepatitis B.

This requirement includes a medial physician’s approval for full participation. A physical must be done each school year.

In light of this requirement, the athletic departments of El Dorado, Ponderosa and Union Mine, in conjunction with local area physicians and nurses from the Marshall Pediatric Center, will hold the annual ‘Sports Physical Night,’ Tuesday, May 14 at the Marshall Pediatric Center, 4341 Golden Center in Placerville.

The cost for the physical is $10 and all proceeds benefit the athletic departments at each school. Students with the last names beginning A-F report at 5:30 p.m.; G-P report at 6; and Q-Z at 6:30. No appointments after 7.

For questions, call the athletic department of the high school the student will attend for the 2013-14 school year, not Marshall Pediatrics. El Dorado can be reached at 530-622-3436, ext. 1010; Ponderosa at 530-677-2281, ext. 2210; and Union Mine at 530-621-4003, ext. 4125.

The schools wish to thank the physicians, nurses and staff of Marshal Pediatric Center for their generous donation of time and facility to support the student athletes and the school athletic programs.
