CAMERON PARK — Elite Taekwondo USA of Cameron Park earned 15 medals at the American Open Tournament.

The participants, coached by Master Jonghun Yi, competed against over 800 athletes from California and surrounding states.

Seven out of the 15 medals were gold: Bianca Mateo (blue belt Poomsae), Devlen Mateo (blue belt Poomsae), George Kucera (red belt Poomsae/Kyoroogi), Justin Jones (red belt Poomsae), Megan Whitson (red belt Poomsae), Quinci Whitson (red belt Poomsae).

Silver medalists: Ella Slattery (yellow belt Poomsae), Devlen Mateo (blue belt Kyoroogi), Justin Jones (red belt Kyoroogi).

Bronze medalists: Anna Adams (yellow belt Poomsae), Megan Whitson (red belt Kyoroogi), Neelash Soodeehul (yellow belt Poomsae/Kyoroogi), Quinci Whitson.

Elite Taekwondo USA is currently training for the USAT Northern California State Qualifier tournament this weekend in San Mateo.
