Those interested in playing a fall sport at El Dorado High School will need to turn in a completed athletic handbook before attending tryouts on Monday, Aug. 6, three days prior to the start of school.
Tryouts for football, water polo, girls volleyball, cross-country, boys soccer and girls golf begin on the date stated above. If you do not have a current 2012-13 athletic packet, they are available at the high school’s main office or on the district’s Website at eduhsd.net.
These requirements also pertain to the girls Power Puff football game.
Students must turn in their handbooks to Sandra Atkins starting July 30, have at least a 2.0 GPA and not owe any fines to get cleared. Without this paperwoork, student athletes will be unable to begin fall practices.
The athletic department will be open from 9 a.m. to noon starting Monday, July 30 to Wednesday, Aug. 1. Then its regular hours will be 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.
For more information, contact athletic secretary Sandra Atkins at 530-622-3634 ext. 1010 during the hours listed.
