GARDEN VALLEY — Three seniors on the Golden Sierra High boys soccer team were honored Tuesday for their dedication to program after the Grizzly squad hosted Rio Vista in its Sierra Delta League finale.

Glen Carlisle, Brandon Susic and Kyle Shiba were recognized, along with their families. Coach Trenton Moi was proud of the trio’s accomplishments during his first season.

“All three of those seniors I’m going to miss,” Moi said.

The Rams took charge early in the first half to post a 5-0 win. Rio Vista scored four of its five goals in the first half and defensively, held the Grizzlies in check.

In the second half, Golden Sierra’s John Oules slammed a shot off the right post for the Grizzlies’ best opportunity.
