GARDEN VALLEY — Golden Sierra girls basketball hosted the two-day Darren Tillotson Memorial Tournament last weekend, defeating Foresthill 46-23 but falling to Forest Lake Christian 44-30 and Victory Christian 44-27.

In the Grizzlies’ win Saturday morning, Golden Sierra jumped out to a 19-5 first-quarter advantage. Melissa Comstock bucketed 10 points for the Griz, Becca Brown scored eight and pulled down nine rebounds, Jenna Pendzinski had seven points and Lindsay Dorosh added six.
Saturday evening, Golden Sierra took on the Vikings. The Grizzlies were within 21-13 at the break and closed the gap in the third quarter before victory went to Victory Christian which pulled away in the fourth.
Kylie Bone and Pendzinski each scored six points, Kaylay Murchie had five and Emily Alexander, four points for Golden Sierra.
Forest Lake Christian, which won the Tillotson, defeated the Grizzlies Friday. Janna Zogg tallied 11 points for Golden Sierra while Brown and Pendzinski each had six points and 10 rebounds
Brown and Pendzinski were both selected to the All-Tournament team.
