Retired law enforcement officers Tom Vigen and Walt Finn participated in the recent U.S. Police and Fire Bench Press Championships in San Diego.

Both won gold medals and set new records. Vigen, 74, body weight 163 pounds, bench-pressed 252 pounds lifting in the 70-74 age group/148-165 weight class.
Finn, 56, body weight 178 pounds, benched 286 pounds in the 55-59 age/165-181 pound division. Vigen is retired from the Los Angeles Police Department and Finn is a retired Alameda County Sheriff.
Both plan to compete next June at the World Police and Fire Games in Washington D.C.
