This past season for the Bears, the 6-foot-1, 185-pound Porter went 6-5 with a 3.01 ERA. During his years at Cal, he picked up a combined 15 wins with a 3.04 ERA, and 158 strikeouts in 195.1 innings.
His best outing this season was on March 29 against Utah, where he had a career-high 11 strikeouts and went 8.2 innings. Porter was an honorable mention Pac-12 All-Academic.
