Oak Ridge sports lists key dates

EL DORADO HILLS — The Oak Ridge High Athletic Department has announced two important upcoming dates for incoming freshman and those students planning on participating in Trojan sports during the 2013-14 school year.

Freshman Sports Information Night — All incoming freshmen parents and students interested in participating in sports at Oak Ridge during the 2013-14 school year are invited to attend the Incoming Freshmen Sports Information Meeting at 6 p.m. on Monday, May 6 in the large gym on the Oak Ridge High School campus.

You will be receiving important information about sports requirements and tryouts for Oak Ridge. There will be breakout sessions for each sport where you can get answers to your questions.

Oak Ridge Sports Physical Night — If your Oak Ridge student is planning to participate in Oak Ridge Sports during the 2013-14 school year, they are required to have a medical physical completed. A team of local doctors and nurses from the El Dorado Hills area are donating their time to give physicals to Oak Ridge athletes. These physicals are valid during the 2013-2014 school year. A sports participation health record is required each year with a medical doctor’s approval for full participation. This sports participation health record for is available in the Oak Ridge Athletic Office.

Oak Ridge Sports Physical Night is Monday, May 13th at El Dorado Physical Therapy located at 907 Embarcaderos Way, El Dorado Hills. The cost is $20.00.

Students with the last names beginning with G through L  at 6 p.m.; M through S  at 6:45; T through Z at 7:30; A through F 8:15.

Pick up the Sports Participation health form in the Athletic office at nutrition break or lunch. Parents must complete and sign your sports participation health record before you can participate in the physical.
