PALO ALTO — Oak Ridge pole vaulter Austin Laut took first place at last weekend’s prestigious two-day Stanford Invitational meet at the Palo Alto campus. Laut’s vault of 15-5 won it from a field of 88 schools representing the western region. The Trojan is currently tied for the state’s best mark at 16 feet.
