“Yeah it was fun. It wasn’t much of a round until the 12th hole, then I played really good coming in and finished off with an eagle on the last hole,” said Pereira in an email to the Mountain Democrat. “We had a good match with my coach and a few friends. Playing well was a bonus!”
Pereira prepped at Ponderosa and awaits the start of classes at the University of Washington where he’ll complete on scholarship. This weekend, Pereira will play in the State Fair Men’s Amateur Championship at Haggin Oaks.
