Several fundraisers are upcoming for Zach Pickett, the Ponderosa senior severely injured in a fluke diving mishap, starting with next Thursday’s Spaghetti Feed at Holy Trinity.
Since the accident, the Pickett family has incurred untold expenses from travel, parking, rehab, home remodel, wheelchair van and additional debilitating expenses yet to come.
The community support to date has been tremendous but more is helpful. Mark your calendar for the upcoming events:
Spaghetti Feed — Sept. 6 at Holy Trinity Social Center, 4-9 p.m. Suggested donation is $7. RSVP online at surveymonkey.com/s/ThePickettFence.
Swim-a-Thon — Sept. 16 at the Cameron Park CSD. 2:30 p.m., Olympic medal winners from the 2012 London games Alyssa Anderson (gold medal, 400 free relay) and Haley Anderson (silver, 10K open water swim) are confirmed to attend.
Chicago Fire Monday Night Football — Sept. 17 in Folsom, 5 p.m.
Pickett Benefit Evening — Sept. 29 at the Cameron Park CSD, 6-10 p.m.
