Ponderosa 9, Sheldon 8 — Logan Tonge’s sacrifice fly in the bottom of the seventh-inning capped a big comeback Monday as host Ponderosa picked up its first Delta River League win. The Bruins trailed 8-1 entering the bottom of the sixth but plated seven runs to tie. Tonge’s 3-run triple was the big blow, Matthew McBride tripled in another run and Matt Poulin tripled and scored on a passed ball. In the seventh, two singles and another passed ball set the stage for Tonge. Shae McLinden went 3-for-4 for Ponderosa; Tonge had the 4 RBIs; Poulin had two hits; and McBride drove in two.
